President, PROVEN RESERVES
Long-standing WIM Toronto Branch member Alicia Ferdinand is a professional Geologist and the President of Proven Reserves, an executive search and mining consultancy group, based in Toronto. She is well-versed in various commodities, delineation and valuation of ore deposits and program management. In addition to her in-depth knowledge of operations and regulatory controls, Alicia has extensive experience in the academic arena having authored and delivered an array of mineral industry courses. Additionally, she spent several years regulating Canada’s capital markets and regulatory agencies at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC).
Alicia is heavily involved behind the mining scene. She is a past organizer of WIM Toronto; serves on two PDAC committees; is a past board member of the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM); past Chair of the Mineral & Economics Society (MES); the Chair of CIM Toronto Branch; and is a mentor to university students to name but a few of her volunteer activities.
