About the speaker

Christine is currently VP & Project Director for Kinross Gold’s Great Bear Project. Previously, she was Deputy Project Manager for the $1.5B, 3-year construction of Equinox Gold’s Greenstone Mine, leading a team of 120 project personnel and, at times, over 1,000 contractors with a strong focus on health & safety.
Earlier in her career, Christine spent 20 years with Falconbridge/Xstrata/Glencore where she worked on many exploration projects and is credited with the discovery of the Kikialik nickel deposit (Raglan Mine, Québec). She was Site Manager for a pre-feasibility project in Tanzania and held a variety of senior corporate roles within the business development, sustainability and strategic leadership teams.
Christine is currently on the board of the East York Learning Experience, an adult literacy not-for-profit. She is a member of PDAC’s Human Resources Development Committee and past Chair of WIM Toronto. She is a professional geoscientist in the Province of Ontario.
