Eleanor Fritz, Director, Compliance & Disclosure, Toronto Stock Exchange
Topic:
The Compliance & Disclosure (C&D) department at Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) educates TSX issuers about their disclosure requirements and conducts comprehensive compliance reviews of their practices. The unit focuses on the continuous disclosure requirements that TSX has adopted for issuers, including timely disclosure of material information, corporate governance disclosure and web site disclosure. In addition, the department monitors compliance with TSX’s continued listing requirements and examines suitability of officers, directors and other insiders.
Ms. Fritz has been with the Toronto Stock Exchange for more than 20 years, during which she has held various positions involving listed companies from both a regulatory and marketing perspective.
She currently sits on the Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission, is a member of the Ontario Chapter Executive of the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a director on the national board of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute. She recently joined the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board Advisory Council.
Ms. Fritz holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Guelph and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
