The Role of Entrepreneurship in the Future of Mining

As the mining industry faces unprecedented challenges in 2020, how can entrepreneurship meet those challenges with innovation? Emily will talk about her non-traditional career in the mining industry as a Founder and entrepreneur, and how start-ups can help the industry adapt and innovate to drive us toward the Mining Industry of the Future.

Emily King is Founder and CEO of Prospector, a new AI-enabled platform for the mining industry as well as Global Venture Consulting (GV), a mining and natural resources consulting firm focused on emerging and frontier markets. With the acquisition of Prospector in July of 2020, Emily also became President and Chief Innovation Officer of Analog Gold. Emily holds additional industry leadership positions as a Principal at KWR Capital, Vice President of Women in Mining USA, and Fellow in New America's International Security program.
