With a background in environmental engineering, regulatory and community engagement, Janis has spent her career working with clients in diverse industries – both issuers and investors – to help them understand and manage critical environmental and social risks and impacts. Janis has been a consultant for over two decades, including advising the mining sector; she also worked directly in a management team of a junior mining company. She holds an environmental engineering degree from the University of Guelph and received a masters degree in sustainability from Harvard University.
