Candace MacGibbon is a Canadian mining executive and corporate director who is passionate about advocacy for the development and financing of responsible and sustainable resource extraction and power generation, in conjunction with innovation in, and the transition to, cleaner energy sources in the race towards net zero.
With over 25 years of experience in both the mining sector and within capital markets. Ms. MacGibbon is currently a director of Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd., TransAlta Corporation and Carbon Streaming Corporation. Ms. MacGibbon was recently appointed as Incoming President-Elect of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) and will continue her advocacy of the resource industry in that role. She has been published in The Globe & Mail and the National Post.
Ms. MacGibbon is a CPA/CA and holds her ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has completed a Cybersecurity Certificate from Cornell University. She is the former CEO and director of INV Metals Inc., a Canadian based publicly listed company focused on the development of the Loma Larga underground gold mine and on prospective exploration, within Ecuador. INV Metals was acquired by Dundee Precious Metals Inc. in July 2021.
