Jennifer Maki is a Corporate Director and sits on the boards of Franco Nevada (“FNV”), Pan American Silver (“PAAS”), Baytex Energy (“BTE”) and Mitsui & Co. (Canada) Ltd. She chairs the Audit Committee at FNV, PAAS and BTE, and is a member of Human Resources and Compensation Committee at BTE and the Communities & Sustainable Development Committee at PAAS. She is also a director and chairs the Finance and Audit Committee at Next Generation Manufacturing, an industry lead, non-profit organization leading Canada’s global innovation cluster for advanced manufacturing.
Jennifer was the Executive Director of Vale Base Metals and CEO of Vale Canada from 2014 to 2017. Leading the nickel and copper operations in Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Japan and the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she spent seven years as the Chief Financial Officer,Vale Base Metals.
Jennifer looks forward to sharing with you her perspectives and lessons learned from a career in the mining industry. She hopes that by sharing her journey and the things she wished she knew earlier in her career that it can help make it easier for the next generation of female leaders in the mining industry.
